老歌亂談(462)Don't Bring Me Down

此曲為英國電光管弦樂團 ( Electric Light Orchestra 俗稱ELO ) 1979專輯《Didcovery》中的最後一首。依據寫歌者ELO的主唱Jeff Lynne的說法，由於覺得專輯中沒有音量較強的歌曲，才在最後匆匆完成。是ELO第一首未以弦樂伴奏的歌曲，卻勇奪告示牌排行榜的第4名，亦為ELO迄今在美國成績最好的歌曲。

這首歌最讓人樂道的是跟在歌詞中Don't Bring Me Down後面的「Grroosss」，其實這是為了強化效果而虛構的字彙，而被許多人聽成是在喊「Bruce！」。為了好玩，Jeff Lynne在某次的現場演唱還故意將之喊成了「Bruce」，Who is Bruce？也讓大家更丈二金鋼摸不著頭腦了。

美國太空總署的天空實驗室( Skylab ) 在太空運行了6年後，因故障於1979/07/11被引導返回地球墜毀。想來是為了搭熱門話題的順風車以便促銷，唱片公司還特別刊登廣告說這首《Don't Bring Me Down》是要獻給Skylab的。或許主題尚為貼切，此曲於1996真的被用來作為叫醒哥倫比亞號太空梭上太空人的歌曲。

※同專輯中的另一首歌曲《Last Train To London》，後被翻成國語歌曲《夏天的浪花》，演唱者為高凌風。

還有趣的是
1979 Skylab是墜毀在西澳洲的Esperance地區
當地居民嚇了一大跳
當地政府以開玩笑的方式要求NASA付400美元的罰金
名義是「亂丟太空垃圾」
但NASA拒絕繳交
30年後(2008)，美國加州的一位電台DJ
透過電台向聽眾募款
湊足了400美元幫NASA還清了此筆罰款

有無颱風假對我來說沒有差
加在颱風對此地沒什影響
否則高球練習場要下網子
(若吹壞換新價格不斐，隨便兩、三片就要一、二十萬)
會有好幾天無法盡情揮桿

懷念這位搞怪歌壇巨星 若餐廳駐唱可要拿鈴鼓滿場飛ㄋㄟ～幼稚園園遊會 也會播放這首活潑生動給小朋友與父母同樂。以前坐大巴畢業旅 車上就播放 在墾丁公路奔馳臨海邊 無限美好！真是夏天最貼切歌曲。前輩也來一曲～～⋯～～^_^

以前年輕時同學一起坐遊覽車出遊
的確是熱鬧非凡
甚至分成兩邊來個廣告歌曲對抗
現在年紀大了
怕吵ㄋㄟ！^^

多年前的夏天曾去澎湖的吉貝嶼玩
該處的海水既清澈又溫暖
真的很令人難忘！
而今年的夏天真是熱爆了！
希望趕快過去^^

雖然只有70億分之一的機率
若是被可證實的國家衛星碎片擊中
仍是可依據在聯合國簽署的公約向該國索賠
台灣非聯合國會員國
故可能有些麻煩吧！

打小白球說貴也貴
還是要看自己的能力啦！
好野人也未必
有得花就花一些
至少對健康有些幫助
反正花不完也不能帶到天國去^^
